Getting old sucks. Thought of something I wanted to look up. In the time it took me to open my phone's browser, I forgot what I was wanting to look up 👴👴

When I was younger, I identified as Agnostic because I wasn't "anti" theism.

MAGA and the current state of the US is showing that theists seem to be hell bent on forcing their ideology.

So, yeah, I think I'm an Atheist now! Time to find ways to push back.

Vibe coding is nothing more than copy/pasting code from stackoverflow.

Will it work? Possibly.

Should the dev make sure they understand what's being done? Absolutely.

Will leadership give the extra time to understand? History says no, but who knows 🤷

They always say variable naming is the hardest thing in SW Dev.

I find that easy. What's difficult for me is figuring out at what point apps should go into Beta so others can see and critique it.

I got laid off a few months ago. I've been through layoffs before and I usually take a couple of months to relax before getting back into it.

This time, I've decided to start building privacy aware apps. The primary goal is apps that don't track you or sell your data.

I'm thinking I'll submit this to an art gallery. I call it "Sadness" 😁

It’s so frustrating that there is this illusion that we are all 49%/49% right now. Us versus them, good versus bad, and it’s all because of the BS that is the electoral system. It’s very likely 70% versus 30% and we’re just not seeing representative government. There’s just no common sense right now

Looks like @github.com is having some problems. Unable to create a PR and it shows this.

I started building an app a few weeks ago and decided I'd try out vibe coding.

My personal opinion is that it works well for very basic code, but gets confused quickly. I might use it to do refactoring, and maybe some scaffolding, but not for full development.

With all of the layoffs in tech, I foresee a LARGE amount of side projects getting more love.

Someone should sneak in and tell Trump that the "real" definition of DEI is "Deep fried, Extra crispy and Irresistible" He'll have an EO signed before breakfast requiring it!

I'm really trying to get into this whole vibe coding thing. But I think the agent they keep giving me is defective! I asked it to add a property to a response DTO and modify the service to add it. It actually created a whole new DTO, endpoint, service and repository layer methods 😕🤬🤷

Anyone else get a kick out of throwing CoPilot Agent mode at an exception and watch it implement the same "fix" over and over while knowing exactly how to fix it the whole time????

3 hours wasted last night because JS thinks "true" converted to a boolean is false. I'm really starting to second guess my idea to learn Blazor 🤣🤣

I've been playing around with Copilot in VS Code with agent mode. It's good, but I'm definitely not worried about it taking my job lol.
There were a few times where I had to hit the stop button and fix things because it got into a loop of "fixing" something the same way then saying it works now.

Want to stop using your fingerprint to unlock your Android, but keep the ability to use it for apps?

Settings -> Security & Privacy -> Device Unlock -> Fingerprint unlock -> Enter PIN -> Turn off "Unlock your phone using fingerprint"
