Hope this means that you’ve received the royalties.

Also the first person to play James Bond (albeit on radio)

What’s your view as to why this change isn’t made?
March 24, 2025 at 7:45 PM
I don’t understand why this isn’t fundamentally changed. It seems like an easy win for the government. Genuinely, why isn’t this being tackled?

I really hope that KS now delivers something meaningful. The papers and right wing press will complain irrespective so time to deliver. Won’t deny there’s been change but needs to be more to prove they’re not a corruption free Tory light.

Hopefully the regulations that are due factor in this potential abuse. Keep fighting this great fight 👏

I’d do the same but my MP was a Brexit voting Tory…

I run a small social enterprise. Our accounts have never been late. There’s no excuse but clearly no downside…

Just thoroughly depressing… Knew governments don’t want to be seen making unpopular decisions during an age of populism but thought that business would ultimately act with responsibility 😔

Never thought I’d follow and be interested in the posts of a tax lawyer but such a great feed. Good luck 👏

Absolutely agree on only source of income. Appreciate what you’re saying about vocation but I still think I’d want to attract the high flyers that currently wouldn’t do or die to the pay and conditions. We can but hope for radical change!

Again, not a popular opinion and will cause a huge backlash but the only way to attract the best people into politics. Whilst I’m not an advocate of the entirety of Singapore’s political system, politicians are incredibly well paid there with zero outside roles or influences.

Not a popular opinion but realistically it’s the only way to improve things.

Want the economy to grow? Well ensure that people are paid a decent wage, they in turn will spend more that fuels the economy.
November 28, 2024 at 11:50 AM
Unfortunately there is a view that #refugees or some other group are to blame. This is pedalled by people that know that suppression of wages and the funnelling of wealth upwards is the real cause.
November 28, 2024 at 11:50 AM
We risk further division in the country if we don’t tackle inequality. This isn’t a call for socialism on steroids but if people working full time jobs still need to use foodbanks, then something is fundamentally broken.

💯
November 26, 2024 at 10:50 AM
Absolutely. That should be banned and any suspicion of ‘buying’ influence should be thoroughly investigated.
