Very very regularly! I’m always looking for the room where my final is happening and can’t find it and no one will help. Occasionally I dream I forgot to attend a class I was registered for and so failed it. #academicptsd

Maybe- it wasn’t any kind of scenario where he needed me to order for him. He was sitting there the whole time with no indication he couldn’t order for himself. No smoke, no bathroom. My point- For me it’s about the mental labor a woman has to put in that’s different than for men in poker room.

I also talked to some other men who know me and my disposition and they agreed the scenario was out of line. Not that I need guys to approve of my opinion lol. It was a strange move on this guys’ part. He was a nice guy and all but it was still weird.

Yes- that was not the scenario. He had no reason to ask.You may not understand it but that doesn’t make it untrue. When people tell you something was inappropriate (say sexist or racist) it’s best not to jump to ways to explain it away. I appreciate the conversation- not trying to shut you down.

Now I finally understand that Gandalf isn’t a cat. Glad that’s settled.

Say more. Were you in a hand? Was it someone you know? Was it like- hey catch that server as s/he is walking away? This was a perfect stranger who had no reason to ask. There are ways I which it could be appropriate- this wasn’t one of them.

Every year I pick out a blanket I’d like for Christmas, and every year my dog takes it over- so this year I picked one with her in mind!
