Finished second in tourney this past week- refused a chop several times because I think the experience of fighting for first is valuable. Cost me in the end but glad for the experience! #poker

The time has arrived: it used to be I was just proud of myself when I lasted a long time in a tournament or outlasted my dad or brothers who are good players. Now I’m disappointed if I don’t cash! Still happy when I know I’ve played well, but yesterday I bubbled and was sorely disappointed! #poker

Played a local end of month tourney yesterday. Got down to 5 big blinds at one point. Came back to cash in 6th place! Definition of focus up, patience, and having a little luck on your side! #poker

Playing tonight and decided my table image was too tight so I’d run a bluff or show down a wider range play. First hand with 8 10 off in LP, I flop a straight and second hand 56 suited EP I flop 2 pair and river a boat. So much for showing down losers! lol And yes I did have a winning night.

True story: cash game, I ask dealer to call service. Guy to my right says to me - when server comes will you order me a coffee-cream/sugar-I’ll pay. I’m sure that there’s no circumstance in which he would ever have asked a man to do this. It was weird. Very odd. Distracting inappropriate. #poker

Fired 2 bullets in the $60 Sunday tourney at my local, and after busting played about 4 hr. cash-in for $200 out for $435. Felt good after a couple tough sessions. #poker #cashgamerecovery

Happy to report a new highest tourney win - 5 way chop with $1152 for each! I was prob third in chips but was happy to chop after a long day. Felt great about how I played from start to finish. #poker #tournamentpoker

This morning I went to read more of this book-The Course by Ed Miller-& the book opened to a page I hadn’t reached yet but I didn’t realize it & started reading. #poker #timely

Broke through to another new accomplishment today- cashed in the local card room Sunday daily! Been working at getting higher and higher and finally cashed. Nothing huge but it’s proof of growth and learning. #Proud #Poker #TournamentPokerGirlie

No cash in the biggest tourney I’ve entered yet, but I did manage my largest cash session to date. Nearing the end of my first year playing poker (not professionally) and it’s all about improvement now that I’m comfortable!
