It’s a blinking gorgeous morning in Manchester.

I decided I should stop unpacking just after 10pm. Knackered. But happy!

We’re in!

Packed up and everything in the van in four hours. Lightning fast.

After 15 years, goodbye Kensal Green!

Also this rather delicate map from 2002 that folded into a credit card size.

London bus zones? I don’t remember them.

Packing for my final (?) move out of London and found this old London Transport photo ID card from when I moved here 23 years ago. 🥹

I love how buying property is just an excuse for the industry to add loads of fees that don’t really seem to mean anything but you can’t argue with and just have to accept.

I know, it's giving this but with abs.
November 5, 2025 at 10:11 AM
I knew there was a reason I decided to move back to Manchester.
November 5, 2025 at 8:59 AM

I didn’t wear fancy dress this weekend, but I did dust down my old Greggs vest for going out last night.
November 2, 2025 at 10:22 PM
Oh gosh me too.
November 2, 2025 at 9:12 PM
Don't mind me, I'm just playing doll's house on the IKEA website trying to figure out what furniture I can fit in the new place when I finally move.
November 1, 2025 at 2:49 PM
Off to the shops.

The "new" one has the exact same aesthetic as my primary school in Banbury in the 1980s.

Entering the final days (hopefully) of my 15 years in Kensal Green, I am reflecting on why I've had to put up with a weird 70s wooden chalet of a tube station when we could have had the lovely 1917 original. What were they thinking in 1980 when they demolished it?
