What I think is entertaining vs. what Ss think is entertaining is often far apart. When I allow myself to be completely in the moment w/the Ss, my sense of humor kicks in & we have moments of human fun that relates to content, or Ss. #sunchat

I sometimes use a strategy w/Ss that I heard on #CultofPedagogy podcast called talking point. In this instance, Ss know ahead of time that they will be having a 15 min. convo with peers. There are 4 Ss per group & each member must participate. I walk around and mark participation. #sunchat

Yes! I sometimes use playing cards-find your matching number. And, don't tell, sometimes I use starbursts if I need larger groups and the Ss have to include 1 of each color in their group. #sunchat

Agreed! An important component to equipping students with tools is to give all students the opportunity to grow their social capital and including all learners in this process.

There is not just a paywall to databases and academic journals, there is a social, educational, and monetary paywall for understanding some articles. Is research for other researchers, or to make changes in society?
