I wrote this almost 10 years ago. It was always clear to see where the US was heading if you really wanted to face the truth. Most of the "progressives" did not. At the time, I lived in New York. Today I truly don't know if I will ever (be able to) set foot in the US again.

So, literally in a matter of days Europe went from trying to normalize Assad to get rid of Syrian refugees to begging Syrians to stay to save the economy and the health sector. 👏

My ❤️ is with Syrian families anxiously waiting for the news from liberated prisons like Adra and, hopefully soon, Saydnaya, to hear about their loved ones. And with millions preparing to go home. Finally. End to years of suffering, humiliation, discrimination. Syrians are going home.

I wrote this to debunk the dangerous, gaslighting narrative which argues that Israel’s crimes in Gaza were justifiable as self-defence or reprisals against Hamas’s brutal October 7 attack. Please share far and wide.
We will see if the #ICC can deliver justice for the crimes committed by the political and military leadership of Israel, but today all the governments in the West, which continued to support Netanyahu's genocidal effort, have symbolically been indicted for aiding and abetting it.
