Olive oil, wine and, erm, lard tasting at the Tuscany Tourist Board event last night for #italiancuisineweek. Some spicy reds which went perfectly with a fatty slice of lard on chestnut bread!

30 years on and I thought it might be my time to win the lottery, seeing as I’ve even run one, but NO. Still, got my money back.

Regretting my life choices this morning. It seemed alright as we went out - then got caught in an arctic snow storm.

Impression of Boston so far - some beautiful buildings on way in which I am itching to take pics of but have headed straight to rowing club where the architectural highlight is pictured. Worse - it’s closed so I can’t get an egg and bacon sandwich.

What are your memories of the National Lottery launch? I got the first two numbers out and was hooked for life (even running one for a while). One of my favourite things I get to do as a journalist is interview winners - Elaine and Derek, who won £2.7m in 1995, were a joy to chat to for New mag.
