Wife, mum of one, opinionated but bite my tongue more as I get older. Like to think I have my shit together but take a lot of screenshots just trying to check the time. Never broke a bone, but I've hit my head more times than I can remember.
As a wee secretary I used to wait until lunchtime to head out with a pile of affidavits & exhibits because you'd more than likely get someone who could do with the swearing fees in the office with a packed lunch, bit shit when the rules changed to cap the fees tho.

Health to drive

My husband was diagnosed with metastatic renal cell carcinoma in June and started ipil/nivo but had a severe reaction and was moved onto lenvatinib & Pembrolizumab in September, his blood work has improved, weight stabilised & CT scan at Xmas showed the primary tumour shrinking.

I've really come round to the idea that the new year doesn't start until late March.

Crap, sorry about that x

Would the Yorkshire toast & jam tea help or make it worse. The biscuit one helps when I'm trying not to inhale them by the packet.

You're not wrong there.

Hateful, but they still handed me a licence eventually. Your son will have no problem.

Technically, I drove into oncoming traffic 🤣 there being no actual traffic at the time made not one blind bit of difference. Honestly I knew I was failing the first go, I was such a bag of nerves.

He'll get there, it's more luck than skill at this point. I only passed 3 years ago, failed the first time in less than 6 minutes and passed the second because I got lucky and had a good clean run. He just needs his good clean run and he will get it.
December 19, 2024 at 6:50 AM
Fingers crossed today's his day. Heavy traffic helped me pass the second time. Tell him to take his time, even if it feels like it's taking forever (took me 90 mins) and take no risks, the shit some other drivers get up to is 🤯 and a pass with minors is still a pass.

That woman is honestly a life saver. It's really easy for my daughter to get very down on herself when she feels like she isn't coping and honestly eating sounds trivial but it's such a huge chunk of energy every single day and all that worry just went away.
December 15, 2024 at 5:55 PM
A lot of the time she just over thinks what to eat and gets to the point where she can either cook or she can eat but not both, sometimes she picks from the box while she heats some soup 🤷 just whatever works that day for her.

I do this for my daughter and sometimes if it's the day for it she'll dander along the canal to Tesco and fill it back up herself vm.tiktok.com/ZGdr9PJcu/

It's mostly crackers, grapes, toms, cheese, ham or chicken, picky decent snacks basically that means she can eat when she really needs to.

Ditto, I'm as likely to get sacked for what I don't say as I am for what I do.

Which is still quicker than sitting on a waiting list tbf.
December 5, 2024 at 9:58 PM
Benenden recently had to change their application for surgical treatment from 6 months to 24 months for people in NI because so many people were signing up because of our waiting lists.

Thank you, I'll give them a try. The H&B ones are actually a bit more expensive than those, so happy days. I don't normally have any trouble with tablets, but I swear theyre coated with stamp glue or something.
December 5, 2024 at 8:14 AM
You wouldn't happen to know a brand where the tablets aren't the size of a small canoe? It helps a lot with fatigue & muscle pain, but I take it until I feel a bit better and then avoid it until I feel awful again because the H&B ones go down sideways 🤢

My 19 yr old daughter was absolutely into it for about an hour. Then she built a couple of clothes rails, made a bowl of noodles and vanished.
