Hot mess. Troll lover. Mind flayer fucker. Durge's willing victim. Horse girl.

It looks good at night too. I'm definitely gonna be making use of it.

Made a cute fishing outfit for Leah while I was playing around with the new transmog system (no we can't mog fishing poles).

Also, don't ask me about the new system just yet. I always have an initial period of "BLAH! NEW! I HATE IT!" whenever something is changed. I'm withholding judgment for now.

As for the nose, it has the trollish aquiline shape still, but it has been lengthened. Not quite to the same extent as a Darkspear’s but much more than an orc’s. You can see this in the smaller amount of philtrum area above the upper lip.

As far as I can tell, Zul’jarra got new warpaint, new ears, and a new nose. The tusks changed too, but I don’t want to go there (RIP). So for the ears, they don’t sweep back as low as a Darkspear’s, but they no longer have that distinct upward curve that orc’s ears do.
November 18, 2025 at 5:11 PM
So how can Blizz fix this? Well turns out, they already did with Zul’jarra. During the Gamescom reveal, Zul’jarra looked exactly like the other femme Amani. But soon her look was updated, based on overwhelming feedback from the player base. So what changed?

This is more glaringly obvious from the front, and I think it is the one thing that singlehandedly makes them look more like orcs than anything else.
November 18, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Now let’s look at the nose. Darkspear noses are long and aquiline; orc noses are shorter and rounder. The Amani’s nose, while having an aquiline shape, is distinctly shorter than a Darkspear’s. You can see this in the amount of space between the bottom of the nose and the top of the upper lip.
November 18, 2025 at 5:05 PM
So why do they look like orcs? The nose and ears. Let’s talk about the ears first. Orc ears have a distinct upward curve, whereas trolls’ ears sweep back. This gives the Amani an orcish appearance, both from the front and side, because while their ears are longer, they have a similar upward curve.
November 18, 2025 at 5:04 PM
Moving to the eyes – we notice the eyes of the Darkspear and the Amani are similarly shaped – almond, deep-set, whereas the orc’s eyes are more round. So it’s not in the eyes (though I do think the heavy eyeliner does at first glance give the Amani’s eyes a more round appearance, but eh.)
November 18, 2025 at 5:03 PM
Now this I don’t mind. It’s something unique to the Amani, and it brings them in line with their male counterparts who have also had broader chins than other trolls since they were introduced to WoW back in Burning Crusade, and every other iteration since.
November 18, 2025 at 5:01 PM
Side by side, we have an OG orc, an Amani, and a Darkspear. Both the Darkspear and the orc ovular heads. Darkspear have a slightly pointier chin, the orc’s is more wide, but still rounded. The Amani on the other hand, has a squarer head/chin. A little more orc than troll, but stick with me.

I'm gathering my thoughts, but some time soon, I am planning to do a thread on why the Amani women look like orcs, with a detailed breakdown and screenshots etc. (That is of course if I don't find Blizz has made a major change before I get around to posting 🤞)

Don't let these tusks fool you, I can also build a bitchin' Alliance house.
November 18, 2025 at 3:19 AM
Would any of my Bluesky buds be interested in founding a chartered neighborhood with me? My guild is too small to justify making a guild-only one, but I'd rather be with people I know. I have 7 for sure, maybe 9 people so far, with only 5, possibly 6 plots spoken for.

So I'm flying around in the beta, just taking in the sights. I see kids, so I click to see what they say.

Amani kid, clearly taunting: "Gokinye, gokinye!"
Me: "Aw, aren't you sweet?"
Blood Elf kid: *giggles creepily* "The Sunwell tickles!"
Me: "Hello, Human Resources?"

Update! Swapped out the Gilded Zandalari table for some Bel'ameth beams to make the platform for the bed and added a Zuldazar fence for a headboard. I think having a headboard anchors the whole thing better. And of course added a raptor plushie to tie it all together ❤️

Cozy custom bed

I'll be honest, as much as I'd like a proper troll hut with the thatch roof and bleached board walls for housing, I'd be happy with an option that allowed us a "tusked" roof and colorful, swirly spirit paint supports.
November 14, 2025 at 5:13 PM
Oh my gosh, if we get these Amani gazebos as decor for housing, I will squeal with delight!

Here be spoilers.

Slogged my way through the Midnight intro in Quel'Danas (the lag was so bad, omg) and I submitted my feedback as part of the penultimate quest - there REALLY needs to be more Horde NPCs helping fight. We're allies, for christsake.
November 13, 2025 at 3:10 AM
You need a leatherworking friend to make you the Sandfury diplomat's banner (technically a troll item, but I won't tell if you don't)
November 12, 2025 at 10:04 PM
Some miscellaneous items I'd like to see - bead curtains, gorloc hanging crystals, tortollan hanging fish-float lights, pandaren firefly jars.
November 7, 2025 at 10:45 PM
Next housing request: more fences. I love the Zandy fences at the Warbeast Kraal with their carved designs, and then Pandaren rural fences can have widespread appeal for people who want something that will match a lot of styles without being the basic human/orc fence.

I've got some work to do. Boy I wish there was a good mask to go with this. If there was, this would be Leah's ideal shadowhunter outfit.
