And all the moneyed Jews who for decades voted against their own economic self interest - what we’re seeing is that when those same people feel personally threatened, even if it were totally baseless, that changes their calculus. It doesn’t necessarily mean they forgot where they came from

Where do people think these lefty younguns are coming from? Many grew up on the UWS to liberal parents who always vote democrat but are concerned about Mamdani. My own (Mamdani supporting) father grew up on the UWS and my kids live there now.
