People use a lot of metaphors for social change: crush the opposition like a hammer to rocks, burn it all down with wrath, blow it down with words.

But this one thing? I think it must be water. Water carving rock. Water soaking cloth. Water on ground that feeds plants like rain and river.

I don’t move in philosophy circles, so I had only ever Arendt in passing, and only with disgust. So when I saw the obvious good moral content I was confused and looked her up.

And there it was. She wasn’t bad afterall, just Jewish and trash talked.

Hand, the new boss decided to give me double lowest without even talking to me about it, knowing it would be out of left field. I just don’t know what to do with the contradiction, because that was real harm that was easy to avoid and he chose not to. 2/
