How does your protagonist’s false belief influence your plot?

The false belief is the lie that your protagonist believes about themselves or the world around them. It influences their decisions as they face a plot that is specifically designed to help them unlearn this lie.

There’s a sweet spot in editing where the math meets the poetry.

What do I mean by this?

If you can capitalize on story structure (the same one humans have been using for centuries) while adding your own imaginative twists, you will not only meet reader expectations but exceed them.

It’s also about the friends, colleagues and professionals that are in your corner.
