In July I noted the Broncos second halves were ordinary, going 5-11-1 after half time up to Round 19.

They won 7 straight second halves to close the season, with holding both Penrith & Melbourne to 0 points in the second half.

Hope Madge gets the credit he deserves.

Penrith had the best defense in the NRL since Round 9, only conceding an average of 15.8 per game. This came after allowing 26 per game over the first eight rounds.

The Warriors had the best hands in the league, only making an error once every 48 touches of the ball this year.

That's the 4th best mark since 2014, trailing the 2023 Panthers, 2020 Panthers & 2024 Warriors

Cronulla had the most repeat sets this season at 389, 20 ahead of the Bulldogs.

As seen above they were +57 in net total penalties, receiving 9.9/game but only conceding 7.5, a difference of +2.4/game

Brisbane had the worst discipline in the NRL this season, a net -47 when looking at penalties or set restarts awarded minus conceded. They conceded 10 penalties or set restarts per game, worst in the NRL.

Canterbury have the equal worst discipline since Round 14 (when nothing of note happened that changed their season), with -20 net penalties. From Round 1-13 they were -5.

Canterbury also had the lowest % of tries from kicks (shown above) at 13.5%.
