Whooper swans now been picked up regularly on #Nocmig along with increased wildfowl. Not much happening with winter thrushes yet though.

Big flock of Goldfinch / linnet / other seed eating species outside the house this winter. About 600 birds 85% goldfinch.

#nocmig barnacle geese over Elvington 4am this morning. There is a feral population at York Uni though so no idea of the origin of these birds.

I find LDV Cetti's warblers are usually more elusive than other dites, but the spring sunshine seems to have made this one a bit bolder this morning.

A busy night of #nocmig on 1st March. Whooper Swan, Pinkfooted Goose, Teal, Wigeon, and other wildfowl moving, with water rail and lots of coot and moorhen. Also picked up this call which I can't place it. Any ideas anyone?
