The essence of what makes a classical masterwork great is a fragile thing. A “modern take” on such a piece is usually an irritation, at best. There are exceptions. Rarely, in a lifetime do we encounter the collaboration of two geniuses, one of the past, one of the present @jonbatiste.bsky.social that creates a new, life affirming masterwork. Beethoven Blues is modern masterpiece. A love letter to a timeless composer, and a joyful embrace of today. Find a happy place, turn off your devices, and just listen. Wow, wow, wow. Thank you Jon.
