The SAVE Act would block tens of millions of eligible Americans from voting... Think about what that would mean for the 2026 midterms and 2028 presidential election.

Text SAVE to 63033 to send an email to your lawmakers and urge them to vote no on the SAVE Act.

Amidst all the chaos of the first few weeks of the Trump administration, they're working to pass the SAVE Act, which would require American citizens nationwide to provide a passport or birth certificate in person to register to vote. Here's why this is a big problem:

Some might say all of those things are our *biggest* acts of resistance in dark, chaotic times. I'm a musician and an actor. If it weren't for those outlets, my cats, and the beauty of nature and love, I'd be going nuts right now.

As someone who hoped to join the NPS someday, my heart is breaking for the loss of possibility but even more for all of you who now find yourselves on such precarious ground. I hope you know how appreciated you are, even in this dark time, and I hope you find what you need to keep going forward.

We didn't elect our officials to lord it over us. We elected them to fight for us. And it's now evident that most of them just. Don't. Care.

If they do, they need better boxing gloves.

I want to see and experience human decency from our supposed leaders, and my heart is broken at the lack thereof.

All I'm seeing from the top and both sides of the aisle (with a few exceptions like @aoc.bsky.social and @sanders.senate.gov) is the antithesis of that. If it exists elsewhere, it's getting buried beneath apparent cowardice and fear when we *desperately* need to see it in action instead.

What would we truly lose? What would we regain? The answer seems so easy, but when we go to hit delete, it suddenly isn't. It angers me that it isn't easier to disengage in the same way it's hard to leave junk food and sugar and bad habits behind.

Just something that bears thinking about.

- email, phone calls, video chats.

Social media is a tool that has been both valuable and destructive. I firmly believe it's been one of the largest contributing factors to the divisiveness in our country. What if we all just shut off the fire hose?

It's hard to accept that I'm willingly devoting my energy to platforms run by people who don't seem to care about anyone who isn't like them. I *do* have some meaningful connections there. Those connections would be worth keeping up the old-fashioned way, though -
