One of the trans women I don't hear mentioned is former enslaved woman Frances Thompson (1840-1876). She testified in front of Congress in 1866 that 'The Memphis Massacre' occurred when white police officers attacked a group of Black people holding a street party.' www.hrc.org/news/hrc-hon...
