It's looking now like the east winds will be strong enough to reach farther west than usual in these events. Latest hourly models picking up gusts to 50-55 in I-5 corridor Seattle north. EAST winds. Not our usual S/SW. I drew on the map so you can visualize how winds sweeping out to Strait:

I noticed that too, but this is going to be a real tough one to call. Sometimes the models overdo wind speeds - but this storm is a monster, even as far away as it is.
