It's looking now like the east winds will be strong enough to reach farther west than usual in these events. Latest hourly models picking up gusts to 50-55 in I-5 corridor Seattle north. EAST winds. Not our usual S/SW. I drew on the map so you can visualize how winds sweeping out to Strait:

LOTS of changes coming down the pike for Tuesday's storm. Short version: BLIZZARD Warnings now in effect for the Cascades for heavy snow with those screaming east wind Tuesday evening/pm. Also WIND ADVISORIES now in effect for the rest of Western Washington not covered by the Wind Warning. More soon
