I am annoyed by those who claim I and other writers should avoid using emdashes because generative AI has co-opted them.

In doing research for something entirely random for my story, I have at least ten tabs open about different types of flowers found in Wales. The other few tabs are about their meanings and uses. I'm learning a lot and this is only for a few paragraphs in my book.
