Because that would mean that some kids aren’t the same, which is the entire premise of the post you replied to

But she felt it and talked about it and her kids aren’t doing that now, so which is it?

The factoid does show up in a lot of human trafficking literature, despite all the problems with how those organizations operate

Yes! Most associated with extreme religious devotion, but I know I’ve read at least one scholarly article about the differences in manifestations across eras

The Raphael painting is my favorite painting, had it on the wall in my teenage bedroom

There is not a single history book that would debunk his claim here

He’s talking about actual slavery and this is a true fact
November 25, 2025 at 10:26 PM
They are not wrong. History books tend to contain facts, so it would show that there are roughly 10x as many people enslaved today as were in the US south pre-civil war. The global population today is ~8x larger than it was in 1860
November 25, 2025 at 10:26 PM
It’s true, by every metric. It’s because there are so, so, so, so many more people alive today than there were in the past

Dorkus couldn’t even read the entirety of the second bullet point, let’s give him a gun and impunity

It really isn’t an electoral loser, you just want it to be.

Remember that year where one of the racist mummers died like immediately after doing their little racist dance?

Was Poland under German rule in June of 1946? Let me just check with linear time…

The poles, so opposed to antisemitism that they did a pogrom after the war ended, against camp survivors trying to reclaim their stolen property from their former neighbors.

I still somewhat regularly use the phrase “reality has a well-known liberal bias”

I user to lurk on legal advice reddit and there were always people who would write in about delusions like gangstalking. The advice was always “I believe this is real to you. People are going to hear this and not take you seriously so you proactively seeing a therapist will help get ahead of that”

Were you at the Daily Mirror when they were publishing information obtained by hacking cellphones?
November 24, 2025 at 11:50 PM
Good for you. Although, I think bragging about being associated with the daily mirror in an editorial capacity is a bit lol.

Heartbreaking: the unfunniest people you’ve ever met somehow stumbles onto a good bit

Especially if a significant reason the article was so long was because it included many direct quotes from Lynne Harper’s mother and the community that supported her?

How would you feel if there was a story published in The Globe and Mail, about the upcoming 20th anniversary of Steven Truscott’s conviction being overturned, and I jumped in to lecture the EIC that the story was too long and didn’t give enough background on the case? Annoyed, right?
November 24, 2025 at 11:36 PM
I knew of the story and I don’t live in Texas, I just pay attention to the news.

I do want to eat chicken from a 3D-printer. It is far less likely to have bone or gristle.
