My floral exhibit for Chelsea Flower Show 2025 awarded a silver-gilt medal. It was a lot of fun, extremely exhausting, and a massive learning curve being judged for the very first time! It felt incredible to have made it this far ❤️

A day of rainbow flowers 💜🩷❤️🧡💛

3 everlasting blossom branches full of colour and happiness.

These twigs and vibrant colours remind me of verdant summer hedgerows. It keeps the soul feeling warm, even if the body isn't on this chilly winters day!

Working on this everlasting flower circle today. Had a rough design in my head, but wasn’t quite sure where I was going with it at first, but feel it’s taking shape now. 🌸 Things don’t always turn out as good as the idea!

This shows just how long everlasting flowers really can last! Although this does surprise even me!- the dried flower advocator 😂

Fabulous post 🧡
This funerary wreath is made of everlasting flowers (Helichrysum stoechas) and is more than 1,700 years old!
It was found in a tomb of the #Roman period in Hawara/#Egypt and has survived due to Egypt's dry climate.
Dating 2nd/3rd c. AD.
On display at British Museum

This #beetle is the Black #Oilbeetle #Meloe proscarabaeus.

Oil beetles are fascinating, such a distinctive body shape.

They look cool, & they can produce an oil to deter potential predators which contains canthiridin. This can cause people to blister, hence their other name #Blisterbeetles
