When he says private establishments can partner with the city, does that mean the mayor will send cops to arrest ice agents who enter private property without a warrant?

Thanks-the reference to supremacy clause immunity makes research much easier. But based on a preliminary examination of several sources, it would not bar the arrest of a federal agent who was actually breaking the law, even if they were on duty.

Can you provide a source for this information? I have seen conflicting reports, and none of the reports on either side come from sources I am familiar with or recognize as authoritative.

It was illegal last year and it's illegal now. Why don't you start arresting people who are doing it? ICE agents aren't just talking--they are acting. We need the Illinois state police to act as well, putting federal authorities who are breaking the law in handcuffs

Could you please have some of your state police arrests the ICE or other federal agents who are assaulting Illinois citizens with chemical weapons? Maybe ask the mayor of Chicago to have city cops do the same? And even call out the Illinois National Guard to protect citizens against Trump's goons.

Here's a thought. Fire every consultant, pollster, and PR advisor that gets a dime from any Democratic organization or politician and use remind y to support direct action by the Americans who are disgusted by your feckless response to an authoritarian takeover y the Republican party.

There have got to be people, angry and frustrated with the fascist assault on America, star to type something like this and realize, "I'm being part of the problem." So they course correct, hit delete, and everyone benefits.

I don't agree with the Democratic take on avoiding defense of the Constitution as the issue justifying the shutdown, but I have talked to plenty of Americans who have no more interest in the Constitution than I have in the NFL.

It's difficult to imagine any argument thst could justify a trillion-dollar salary for Musk, but going with "his track record of delivering against wildly ambitious plans" when failing to deliver on such plans may be the thing this very famous man is most famous for.
