What are Democrats for? I called the office of my representative (Yvette Clarke). I asked the staff member who answered the phone if he knew whether or not she had specific plans for actions she would take if Trump sent the National Guard to NYC. He said he was not allowed to answer that question.

There's always an obvious follow up question American newscasters fail to ask. When Jeffries says "There's a plan to responsd in New York as the circumstances dictate," one wonders what he thinks those circumstances dictate right now.

For years, right-wing assholes and the mainstream media that tacitly supports them have called Democrats socialists to make them less popular. I'm really hoping we've entered the era when Democrats (27% approval rating) start calling themselves socialists to be more popular.

Matt Yglesias supports the claim that men are more likely to have extremely high intelligence than women but also more likely to have extremely low IQ by noting males vastly outnumber women as CEOs and prisoners. That might explain the low IQ part, but where are all the smart men?

I just called Tom Suozzi's office to express my disappointment over his vote yo censure Al Green. The staffer explained Suozzi's position (that Green was a distraction), said he personally disagreed with his boss, said he had answered 100 calls and there were 4 other people answering that many too.
