The facts here are pretty egregious (teargassing near where a kids' halloween parade was ongoing). And some of them involve Bovino himself violating her TRO (tossing a teargas canister without giving any warning).
I'm not sure this will matter, ultimately. But it's worth bearing in mind.

I think he probably said "credal" (as in, arising from a crede) and it got mistranscribed.
America is sometimes referred to as a "credal nation" (as in, come here, swear an oath, become a citizen).
Vance's idea here is still ahistorical and fash-adjacent but I think "creole" is a likely typo.

IMO, sovcits reflect something that's more common than we'd care to admit: people thinking that the law is really just about magic words.
