To be explicit, the problem with using "able-bodied" when you mean "non-Disabled" is it has an implied erasure of Disabled people whose conditions/diagnoses/"impairments" are primarily mental, emotional, cognitive, etc. Brain-based.

Not something you can outwardly observe at a distance.

It frustrates me even more that the #deafblind community is so often overlooked, especially when it comes to contrast. Just think about subtitles—why would anyone assume that white text without a background bar is #accessible?

I know I’m writing from a place of privilege because I’ve taught myself all of this, but I also just have an instinctive sense for accessible media design and aesthetics.

But if you choose a light blue background, surely white text isn’t going to work ??? How does one not see that???
