I should probably do some kind of intro so here goes. I fell in love with #iceland via webcams last year after hearing that Grindavík was evacuated due eruption risk. Since then I've learned a huge amount - and yet what I've learned is the tip of the iceberg - and continue to delve into the science.
My feed is full of scientists and this is the best thing ever

I started The Night Guest by @hildur.bsky.social last night, reading in bed to wind down before sleep. I had to force myself to put it down. 🛌📖

I finished it this morning, with coffee in bed, first thing.

It was a fantastic read, and I enjoyed everything about it, including the chapter structure.

Would also love to be able to read this paper. Science behind paywalls is a problem when you have no institution & can’t afford to pay multiple fees, unfortunately.
