It's always possible that Trump is just asshole enough to wag his finger at another head of state and Vance is just petty enough to demand a personal thank you, but I rather suspect they set Zelensky up. What a pair of slimeballs they are.

Some people seem under the impression that an individual leader provided with total unchecked authority will swoop in and fix everything without abusing his power. The rest of us went to history class.

I just saw someone refer in a comment to the "last slither of hope." Ordinarily that would be sliver, of course, but last slither appeals to me, like some petty and reprehensible hope is slipping quietly out of the room before anyone looks at it too closely.

OMG, you all, it was just a cute tagline, and now I'm hearing I should actually finish a novel. That's a lot of work, you all. I messed around for a while with some space cowgirl stuff (I had two fans, but they were two of the BEST fans). I could get back on my '80s girl stories, I suppose.
