Physics/Astro prof here facing same challenges. Definitely more success with short (~3 min) video instructions. I also offer short videos summarizing key concepts from the lecture made using the Explain Everything app. But no more than about 10 min or they won’t watch them.

I get daily email from a lovely yarn shop in New Hampshire and my sense from a recent posting by the owner is that she’s terrified. I hope she can hold on. What a senseless waste this is. You’re right, Jen. Knitting is a critical component of mental health for many people. It brings me peace.
