Headed home from my first ever #DragonCon exhausted but happy. So much fun hanging with friends, meeting new ones, and getting to talk about books and stories and characters with passionate and talented people. If we hung out at all or if you enjoyed any of my panels, don’t be a stranger!

Surprise, I get to publish more books!

So excited to finally be able to talk about my YA debut, DREAD CHASER, hitting shelves in 2027 from @simonandschuster.bsky.social, with the sequel coming in 2028!

This book is absolute mayhem and I can't wait for y'all to read it. Some details in replies ⬇️

Happy #Juneteenth!

Fig would like to remind you that one way to support Black-owned businesses, amplify Black voices, and learn from Black history is to read Black-authored books. They exist in every genre and age category, so no matter your taste, there’s bound to be something you’ll love.

NASHVILLE!

Come see me and @chuckwendig.bsky.social TONIGHT at 6:30pm at @parnassusbooks.bsky.social! We’ll be chatting about his deliciously creepy new novel THE STAIRCASE IN THE WOODS, which I slurped up with unsettling gusto.

There’s still time to RSVP here: parnassusbooks.net/event/store-...

A bloom five years in the making. I knew she had it in her.

Our front door is now a nursery. Thinking of putting up a “shhhh the babies are sleeping” sign on the wreath for anyone who comes calling.

Surprise foster dog swap! Bilbo desperately needs to learn some chill, so he’s gone off to doggie training camp, and in his place we now have Rambo, a sweet 3yo sheepadoodle who graduated from doggie training camp and is ready for his forever home!

You love to see it

Finished @chuckwendig.bsky.social’s THE STAIRCASE IN THE WOODS last night and I loved it SO much. Cannot wait to talk about it with him next month at @parnassusbooks.bsky.social. Going to ask so many questions about friendship, trauma, and what makes something truly scary.

You know you probably need a nap when you’re out walking the dogs and think, “I’ll just close my eyes for a bit and let the dogs steer; they probably know where they’re going.”

My rain gauge says we got about 5 inches of rain in Franklin overnight. So not excited about more on the way.

This dog has been literally bouncing off a different surface in my house every 3 seconds since we brought him home from the vet

New foster alert!

Meet Bilbo, a 1.5yo schnauzer mix whose background is an utter mystery. We’ve only had him for a couple days, but can already tell that he’s an absolute sweetheart and total goober.

I think my crocus is already on its way out, but I see other flowers beginning to set their buds for later blooms, hostas starting to peek out of the ground, shrubs beginning to wake up, pollinator favorites all putting out new leaves.

I love this part. It always feels a bit like magic.

Fig would like to know if you’ve called your reps today

If the answer is yes, she’s really proud of you.

If the answer is no, she wants you to know you can do this. She believes in you.

Everything about this is horrible.

So many people (including several in my household) cannot function without SSRIs. They help with focus, emotional regulation, executive function, sensory overload, anxiety. This is just cruel. www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

Boosting this at a busier time of day. Does anyone know anything? To be clear, I’m asking about the man/group behind this planned boycott. Here are just a few of the images I’ve seen shared about it. I don’t need info about the boycott itself; my question is about the organizer(s).

I may be stepping into a minefield but does anyone know ANYTHING about the founder of The People’s Union, John Schwarz, outside of the fact that he’s behind the 24-hour economic boycott at the end of the month?
