Telling people I majored in math in college usually gets one of two responses.
Either 1) gross, why? Math is boring (what am I supposed to say to that) or 2) oh cool, what kind of math did you learn? (No way to explain that in casual conversation so I end up sounding like I know nothing lol)

After being in nyc for 3 days my main takeaway is that new yorkers know nothing about how people in the pnw dress. I got sincerely complimented 2 separate times on objectively very basic/boring outfits (athleisure, then a flannel lmao) and I don't know what to make of that

I've had horrible experiences w/ birth control forms that ppl have had seamless experiences with & vice-versa. Anti-abortion movmts are trying to capitalize on the internet's inability to grasp nuance to brainwash younger women into happily giving up major rights; its part &parcel w/ trad content

It's getting worse! Someone pls tell the wellness grifters that there is a difference between pointing out that existing birth control options aren't perfect/we should demand better and demonizing the *concept* of it in the name of being "natural" or "balancing your hormones" whatever tf that means

I hate that videos have become a dominant form of social media posts regardless of platform. I don't want to watch videos of people talking when I could read it as text so much more quickly

The older I get the more I unironically become a new year's resolution person. I think it's less about self improvement and more about data bc it's sooo satisfying to say "I'm going to do x thing y often" and then make a little chart to track my progress and then check off each time I do the thing
