Skunks seem to be very active in late spring and summer, when the mom's need extra food and the kits start exploring. If you go out around dawn, you may see them.

Hmm, he took a bath in the river after this. Maybe he was hoping for some of those ideas that always strike in the shower.

Thanks! Pelicans summer here, too. Sometimes one or two will stay over winter, but they're mostly here in the warmer months. They're always fun to watch.

I swear I resisted the urge to meow at this bobcat. Although I may have tried "pspsps, here kitty, here kitty" while looking for it again the next day...
