Knitting horror stories. Mine's not that scary and is a little funny. After working on this complicated pattern, it was evident the hat was just too small. Swatching is no longer avoided. The yarn became part of a nice blue and black shawl after unraveling.

1. The only thing my wife asked for last Christmas was for me to help her with a thrift store scarf that curled up. So I unraveled it and reknit it so it lays flat.
2. Fingerless mittens made from unraveled thrift store sweater dyed by me.
