I don’t know why this bothered me so much, but roads *are* three dimensional.

Sometimes you just gotta start throwing elbows in the right direction y’know? They land where they land.

I don’t know that there was a measures effect trump had when he started talking about birth certificates. But we live in an attention economy, and Newsom gets attention. He is trying to turn the attention to support for redistrictimg, so at least it isn’t empty.

All the Krogers have a discreet vibe. Hippy Kroger, fancy Kroger, college kid Kroger, yoga mom Kroger, old folks Kroger, etc.

This happened about 15 seconds ago after your convo about whether Canada Dry is actually Canadian and I was actively trying to remember the last time I saw anyone drinking it.

I was listening to this episode while grocery shopping today and the guy in front of me at checkout was buying a six pack of mini Canada Dry cans and nothing else. This was at the old folks Kroger in Louisville, KY.

Small town or rural area? In my experience, small towns will know you’re gone almost immediately. Rural areas? Could be weeks.

Couldn’t tell if they had been funded so I took care of it. Sucks how bad these platforms are! My donation model has been to find campaigns that are close to to the goal and finish them off. If you have a small/medium amount of money to spare, I highly recommend it!

Teachers, man. They got Bevin out of office and they killed amendment 2.

I also have a hard time with the trolley problem, but I can’t imagine being a person who refuses to engage with it at all.

I also wish they would say how much the risk increased. Did it go from 1 in a million to 3 in a million? That’s triple, but not significant. Did it go from 1 in 3 to 1.5 in three? That’s “just” a 50% increase but super significant!

By which you mean designing, purchasing all the supplies, cutting the pattern, then crashing and putting it all in a box for the next X months. At least that’s how my adhd brain works on multi-step projects.

Fabric wallpaper is a thing! You hang it with laundry starch.

This is an aside, but I remember listening to an Appalachian scholar on a podcast briefly mentioning the Scots Irish influence in the area and a bunch of Scottish and Irish folks getting real mad about it in the comments.

He wrote a whole book about how everyone who ever loved him is trash, so… yeah.

This man’s out here acting like he went to OU Southern pre-internet and got degree in basket weaving, rather than a large well-funded and respected research university in 2006 and got a good enough education to get into YALE LAW with no connections. What a fraud.

I relate, as a chaotic ADHD bisexual Daria who works at the zoo.

I have a psychiatrist who specializes in ADHD and this is exactly how he frames it.

I’m still unsure about how I’m going to vote, but the dark upshot of living in KY is that there’s absolutely no way my vote can make a difference in the presidential election.

Those all very clearly are speaking about a subset of rural white folks, not saying all of us are like that. Do you know many liberal white rural folks? We’re not offended. It’s the bigots who are offended. Hit dogs holler.

Some of them are more Italian-based, some are dashi-like, some are Mexican inspired. They’re really great.

Either is fine. Semi colons join two independent clauses: periods separate them. Neither a comma nor a colon work here, though.
