And that decision is killing me lately.
Had a major life decision I had to weigh this week, and now that I’ve made the right choice for me, I feel so much lighter.

Like I can breathe again and therefore tonight, I’m finally planning my goals for Q2.

I posted this and like three days later, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom broke up.
Another one: Katy Perry and the founder of Snapchat, Evan Spiegel, have the same stepson.

Last semester of college and what was the remnants of Patricia dumped rain on Huntsville all weekend. Was home alone and it was lovely.
Ten years ago today, Hurricane Patricia reached an intensity of 215mph (345km/h) and 872mb in the Eastern Pacific, becoming the strongest tropical cyclone ever recorded worldwide in terms of maximum winds.

Over the past few months, I've started blogging again, mostly as a form of writing. I've written and published six mystery novels under a pen name, but this blog is more for me. To write about what I want to write about and it's been fun. this week, I got myself a domain name. lauralostintexas.com

I *love* six degrees of separation between celebrities and I just found a new one. Clark Gregg (aka Agent Coulson in Marvel) used to be married to Jennifer Grey from Dirty Dancing, and her father, Joel, was the Wizard of Oz on the OBC of WICKED.

New Democratic Party voters did in Canada today what many in our country refuse to do over and over again: vote for the party that can win, even if they aren’t perfect.

All of February and beginning or March, I was seeing posts on Facebook about a new job. Turns out my employer changed my role in mid-March, so now I'm looking for a new job. Problem is that I've been in sales for most of my career, and I want out. I don't know what I'm at good at for a full-time job

Today I received an email expressing praise and appreciation for my work this week. That sort of simple kindness is like jet fuel for the soul.

I will never believe that empathy and kindness are a weakness. Praising a job well done, even when excellence is the expectation, is never bad.

IT IS NONE OF HIS FUCKING BUSINESS.

Also deafening and shameful in their silence: our four living presidents, especially the Republican one who should have not been a total coward & endorsed Harris in October. Where are they?
An excellent question. Where are the Fortune 500 & Wall Street CEOs? Where are the university presidents? Where are the civil society leaders? Not just speaking out specifically in defense of their institutions & democracy, but also about 🇺🇸's global interests? The silence is deafening & shameful.
we are gutting out competitive advantages and the stakeholders of our democracy don't care? what the fuck is wrong with america's elites?

Impactful weather is forecast tomorrow (Feb 15) from the Lower MS Valley to Ohio Valley. Widespread severe storms (damaging gusts & tornadoes) & flooding are expected. Have multiple ways to receive warnings, especially at night. A NOAA weather radio is a great, inexpensive way to get warnings.
