Going to the Houston International Quilt Festival in October! I didn’t think it would get in because it’s been turned down 3x before from other shows. Just goes to show ya. You never know.

Our Whale’s Tongue Agave is blooming! Happens once when they’re about 10 and then the plant dies. But first they put on a show: 25-ft stalk, yellow flowers, pollinated by bats!

Woo hoo!! Great news! The SAQA board voted unanimously to pull the entire show out of AQS (see previous post for details)

And the International Quilt Museum has acquired my quilt for their permanent collection!

We all could use some good news. Thank you everyone for making your voices heard!
