I hope you’re right but it seems quite naive to think that senate republicans will hold some sort of line against Trump and his administration.

I hate to be cynical (what choice do I have) but why assume Musk doesn’t understand this. It makes more sense to me to presume that Musk is actively seeking to destroy the norms that exist (or did exist).

Why presume he doesn’t know? It’s more likely than not he does and that is why he’s actively working to destroy it.
