REMINDER: Numerous, wide-ranging lawsuits against Trump, DOGE, and *ALL* of Trump's EO's, are making their way through our court system. I shared this 🎁 Article from the NYT's a while back - a litigation tracker. Please save it to your files for reference. (Some remain unaware of these cases.) ⏬
I get a LOT of comments, asking why Trump, Musk, etc. aren't being sued for this assault on our democracy. Well, they ARE. In fact, there are multiple suits, filed against every EO!

🎁 Article to go deeper, from me to you:

I cannot get over the fact that Republicans only won the House by 7,500 total votes in three congressional districts—an average of 2,500 votes in each.

That’s how close Democrats came to taking the House, in a country of over 340 million people. 7,500 votes.

Waking thought: The robber barrons are about to have the keys to the treasury and the nuclear codes. How do we prepare ourselves and each other for what's to come? Ever the optimist, trusting the resistance will hold, but what does that look like?

Makes me so damn angry. How can they be so ignorant? Is it willful? This whole thread... Some of us saw the direction they were headed a decade or two ago; they've played the long game. Anyone who doesn't know this isn't paying attention.

This morning's waking thought: We have to take care of ourselves before we take care of others. We learn this again with every flight we take. This includes collective self-care (hence why I'm not ok with 3rd party voters). Because... Fascism, tyranny are now ours. 1/2

White people don't need to identify or label themselves as a safe person.

If you're white and you want to be a safe person, live so loudly anti-racist and become so dangerous to bigots that it's unmistakable.

Two competing thoughts this morning: Absolute power corrupts absolutely. And: A vampire can't enter unless invited. Well, collectively, we invited the vampires in. Now what?

These appointments don't have to be qualified; they're figureheads to send the right message and keep the followers in line, while the "real" work of dismantling government gets done behind the scenes by the Heritage Foundation and others who have been playing the long game since the 1970s or 80s.
