The day after my cats came home, I found out I got an ALTA travel fellowship. I told David some humans thought I was a good translator, and he looked at me adoringly, like he’d always believed in me.
I came home today and said I got a story accepted. Apparently, this type of thing is now old news.

I get SO MUCH spam email based on AI-generated summaries of book reviews. I rarely even open them. But this one, wishing “a gentle, bright day” to a man who died a century and a half ago, is my new favorite.

Five years ago today, I went to the shelter to meet these precious little weirdos. Due to Covid occupancy restrictions, I had only a few minutes to decide whether to adopt them. Easiest decision of my life.
