I have work in this beautiful show at the @owensartgallery.bsky.social alongside a bunch of incredible artists whose work I've admired for a long time and I'm pretty excited about it! The show is up until Dec. 14th and, like everything at the Owens, it's free to attend!

A story of a betrayal. No sidewalk sunflowers have been spotted so far this year.
Small Desecration on this Ugly Street I thought we had an understanding. The sunflower that inexplicably took root in the smallest crack in the sidewalk on King street, the one we watched grow over the summer, wondering if it could really be what we thought it was, if those leaves really denoted a domesticated, annual species, traveller from somebody’s garden by mysterious means, until it bloomed, slowly opening itself up to us, this bright, solar centre of gravity unwrapped like a present, having decided, despite the road’s proximity that we could be trusted, us, the community, us— I thought we had an understanding not to touch.
