There was a workplace ICE raid in Glen Burnie today at the Villages at Marley Station in Anne Arundel County. They were focused on a construction project in the complex and detained several workers….. 🧵

#HandsOff protest in Surprise, Arizona on the outskirts of the Metro Phoenix area. Leans conservative, voted Trump 2024, but there’s got to be close to 2,000 people out here. Given my experiences and interactions here over the years, I take it as a sign the tide could be turning.

Surely I can’t be the only person drawing parallels between Elon Musk and Rasputin, the mystic/charlatan who gained the trust of the last Russian tsar - and was eventually murdered by a group of Russian nobles for his undue influence over the royal family….

I’m in Belfast, where “The Troubles” is never far from the present-day narrative. I ask a passing pedestrian about the green cage covering the entrance to this pub. They were for protection, he says. It’s leftover from “the troubles” he tells me, “and they just left them there. It’s good they did.”

I was in Aurora, Co. last weekend and happened upon this dumpster fire. For anyone not tracking, Aurora (suburb of Denver) is where many Venezuelans have landed over the past two years, and it’s where Trump has said he will begin deportations with his “Aurora Plan.” #irony
