No one is arguing that sedation in a hospital should be standard for every woman, but that it be available as a matter of course to those who need it.
The standard being put forth is “treat women’s pain seriously,” which I think we can all agree on

Please stop saying what pain is like for most women. You have plenty of women on this thread telling you both insertion and removal are extremely painful, you’re just ignoring them. And hospitalization/anesthesia isn’t being generally recommended for everyone

Doctors do know, and they don’t offer pain relief, which is ludicrous. That’s the point of the discussion

Excellent! We agree appropriate pain management for women is not threatening or dangerous and women should be free to demand pain management for what is typically an extremely painful procedure. Great talk!
