“I felt cast out of the whirring, capitalist pace of life, as well as the typical pathways to career success and financial stability. Initially, this felt like a great injustice. With time, I’ve come to see the casting out as a deeply inconvenient blessing.”

Fabulous defeat for the fascists!
🚨BREAKING: Federal Court GRANTS sweeping nationwide injunction against Trump DEI executive orders finding that they violate First and Fifth Amendments to the Constitution. A huge victory for @democracyforward.org and its clients. A stinging loss for Trump.

Happy Day of Love & Friendship, my dears. Here’s the sap-piest thing 😂 I’ve ever written, and one of my songs that perhaps translates best to the page, from my album PINK STONE.

(Not into monarchies, btw, unless they involve elves or riparian kingdoms).

Send this to someone you’d get muddy for 🥵

An excerpt from The Pink Stone Companion Book, an extended lyric book to my folk album Pink Stone: Songs from Moose Lodge. This is one of five vignettes that weave around my own story, creatively re-telling the Methow River’s journey to the sea. The watercolor is by Anna Briggs, book illustrator.

“There are plenty of “real jobs” that operate on the model of “have a baseline of skill and resources and then do it all at the last minute under pressure.” Surgeon. Firefighter. Pilot. And in my case (and maybe yours), Writer.”

Enough with the immunity debt propaganda. The science is beyond clear that C-19 infections weaken the immune system and are disabling children and adults at an alarming rate. We need systemic, clean air solutions put into place, not more heads in the sand.

Excited to have four poems out in Cutleaf from my in-progress manuscript exploring chronic illness and cultural recovery through an old Celtic myth.
