In both cases I think it’s more a moral argument masquerading as a strategic one. So I wouldn’t call either of them invalid (your morals are your morals), but do get frustrated by the masquerade.

When I’m confused that people don’t get this, I try to remind myself that there are also people who are completely opposed to taking on monetary debt because they view it as universally bad.

This a hundred times over. I've been meaning to experiment with Claude, but have been dragging my feat because ChatGPT has so much memory and preferences encoded I know it'll be more work to use.

I went back and forth before upgrading to the paid tier as it feels a bit pricey for my use case. I don’t live in a CRM like a sales rep would. But it drives my sales pipeline. I also use it to manage professional contacts in general for networking purposes.

AI will simply remove the bullshit from our jobs which will cause us to invent new bullshit that's harder to automate.

Think of the how the invention of photography forced painters to invent abstract expressionism.

What if we create a special team that’s in charge of innovation and let them goof off? Also, we have to let them have no interaction with other teams where they might get context on what useful things to goof off on are. They might infect others with their goofing off.
