The volume of inflation news in the US was higher in Feb-25 than during COVID-19.

Actually, the Atlanta Fed GDP forecast fell on an expected net export collapse - not even government spending cuts (not yet). GDP is expected to drop even before government spending cuts are accounted for.

Forget slow-moving year-on-year rates:

The current inflation momentum in the euro area (3-month-over-3-month SA annualized rate in the below chart) is not completely back to normal, particularly regarding services prices.

AMS introduces a global inflation diffusion index (NIPI), aggregating data from 23 countries. There aren't many daily and timely fundamental-based inflation proxies available! Certainly, none at the global level.
