For example, because I let one of my players design a city-state in my campaign, merfolk Elon Musk now exists in my world, and I get to have the fantasy of him experiencing consequences for his actions. Here's the image I generated for my players.

We can take this a step further. Here's the same chart, but for 4d6-4. We're getting into diminishing returns on how common an average rolls is, but we've seen a massive falloff on the worst possible roll, a 1 in 1296 chance.

Now, consider other approaches. Here is the probability distribution of 2d10. See how an average roll is 10 times more likely than a perfect or worst possible dice roll? It's so much more reliable. Average is expected. #dice #probability #math

The d20 roll is a classic chance resolution mechanic and we all kind of hate it. Here's the probability distribution of the d20. Completely even chance on every roll. It's very random and that can be desirable, but it has problems.

None of this is to criticize the game. It's a great game. I'm just saying that it confounds me, because it's usually trivial for me to figure out why gameplay is good or bad. This one?

@tkingfisher.com I'm late to this comic, so it took a little work to find this. Glad to have it, though.

Hoodies don't have enough material in the hood. Here's what is and what should be.

Also, I got a wacom tablet and I'm getting used to it. Apologies for the low quality, I'm learning.

I adore Flask, but I also ignore probably 99% of the code base. I'm building a webapp and this is the single entry point for all requests. Just calling a dict of dicts of functions. I will add logging around this, and then I automatically get that for everything.

Also, I can shift #fonts and create intermediate blending of two fonts so I can change the way words will be interpreted.

Here's a very lazy example of why #font choice matters.

I really like the game #Bitburner. But, I feel like I should offer a warning/endorsement:
