Ed is drowning. It's fine. He already made his peace with the fact that he’s gonna die, or he’s already dead, or something between those two. He doesn’t know any more, doesn’t care. The important thing is that there’s nothing for him out there. There’s no one for him. He thought there was. He was wrong. He can’t feel the cold of the water or the burning in his lungs. All he can feel is the tiredness, carved deep, engraved in his very bones. And he can still feel a stinging pain, thin, sharp, deep and all consuming, purple and orange like a sunrise on a lonely dock. Yes, that’s why this decision was easy, comforting even.

In this town, we have a monastery excess and not a single famous cookie. There are two monasteries, each one on opposite sides of the little town, and two insane monks have hijacked their kitchens. I hear you asking, “But Lucius, how's it that the town is not overflowing with cakes?” Well, that would be the case if they were actually dedicated to learning how to properly bake a cake and not to pining for each other like two middle-aged dumbasses. Instead of the sweet smell of cake, we were awoken every morning by the bitter smell of something burnt. They have been in a rivalry with each other over who creates the best cake in town since they met exactly a year ago, at the town’s communal dinner.

I'm posting this #WIPWednesday post with my eyes closed!!

Have this uncooked snippet of She's my ride or die, a #MurderWidows fic. It starts silly, it gets horny, and probably ends up back to silly.
Evelyn was caught off guard by the chastest thing. It happened during one of the widow’s club meetings. The tea had run out, along with the need for fake tears, and wine and laughter had begun to flow. The evening at Mary’s house got animated. Every widow had an embarrassing story about their late husbands, and they felt safe and loose enough to start telling them. Eliza was telling the group about that time when her poor Al tried to sneak out through the window in the middle of the night, only to fall into their rosebush. Mary was serving more wine, standing between the coffee table and the couch, where Evelyn was seated. The story must’ve reminded her of something because she started to laugh so hard that she fell backwards and landed, sideways, on Evelyn’s lap.
