But what's also interesting though is the recurring emotional response of 'awkwardness.' Which is something you might feel if you grew up with streaming services and parents who wanted to be open-minded about what they can watch with their kid.

If they mostly associate sexuality with phone-content, I could see how they could come to see it as beneath the medium of TV/Film

A key for me to making vegetarian cooking that others like has been using ingredients that mimic part of the flavor profile of various meats, like beet juice and smoky stuff. Current vegetarian options tend to force a binary between total meat mimicry or dour plain vegetables

Solo is a mostly fine and inoffensive movie save for the fact you have to spend the whole runtime trying not to mentally compare Ehrenreich to Harrison Ford

TLOU 1 also has a beating warm heart underneath its crusty characters that binds them and keeps the game from being a torrent of misery. TLOU 2 trades that in for a tragic story about things falling apart that is miserable and frightening

The first season feels like the product of a unique and specific voice, and the seasons after sand away the edges in favor of a toothless friendliness that feels like being dropped in a ball pit

You definitely become aware that having a murderous tyrant somewhere above them motivates a bureaucracy that is miserable, conniving, back-stabbing and fearful. Even if you make it to the top, there's a strong chance you'll get choked or zapped.

Rogue One is quintessential modern Star Wars in that we love pieces of it rather than the whole thing. Vader hallway fight, Cassian shooting a guy in the back, K-2SO, etc. The movie isn't bad, but it's not great
