I agree with all of this, and yet: what is the point of voting for Democrats -- for anyone, really -- if they're just going to surrender to the bullies? It can be a PITA, but it's worth it if it makes our lives better. But now, it's looking like it doesn't, so why keep doing it?

I have a five second rule, but also lean toward thinking of honks as transitive. Like... I know there's someone in front of you, but if it's been long enough that you should have started your own honking, it's time for me to honk. Honk honk.

For what?! This was one of the last remaining opportunities to repel MAGA. I don't see anything else promising until the midterms... a year from now. This whole show will be over by then, and not in our favor. The Dems have well and truly fucked the country on Trump's behalf.

The way this looks to regular people is that Democrats winning doesn't matter. That no amount of winning is enough to stop the GOP machine from grinding us all to powder. You won so much bigger than anyone thought possible, and it still isn't enough.

I'm seriously wondering why even vote any more. Republicans are openly committed to destroying the country, and Democrats are incapable of mounting literally any defense. I guess we really are fucked.
